LIMITED RUN SILVER COINS CELEBRATING 140 YEARS SINCE THE SUNSHINE MINE WAS DISCOVERED
The 140-year, limited edition, commemorative Sunshine silver coin utilizes silver recovered by the Sunshine Refinery near Kellogg, Idaho. This silver-rich material was refined at Liberty Refiners in Hayden, Idaho, who produced 99.999% pure silver grains. The Silver grains were melted and minted at the Sunshine Mint in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The packaging was produced in Hauser, Idaho. This is truly an Idaho product.
Sunshine employees, together with the Sunshine Mint created the design to commemorate the 140-year anniversary of the discovery of the Sunshine Mine by the Blake Brothers in 1884.
With the recovered product, Sunshine produced a limited, serialized edition of the coin. These were individually minted utilizing a 120-ton press with special attention to detail and the creation of a partial reed for a serial number. 500 unique coins were minted and come with special packaging and a unique serial number.
Sunshine also produced a limited number of commemorative that are identical to the serialized coins, except that they come with a full reed on the rim.
