The Sunshine Complex includes the permitted Sunshine Mine, the Sunshine Silver/Copper Refinery and historical antimony refinery grounds, creating a differentiated platform with potential exposure to silver, copper and antimony. As Sunshine advances its plan to return the mine to production, the Company is also evaluating future opportunities to support domestic processing capacity for minerals important to U.S. industrial, technology and defense supply chains.
The Sunshine Complex includes historical antimony refinery grounds, and and the Company has major permits in place to construct a potential new antimony processing facility. If developed, the Sunshine Antimony Plant could allow Sunshine to process antimony-bearing concentrate from the Sunshine Mine and potentially toll-process third-party antimony-bearing concentrates.
Antimony is used in a range of defense, industrial and technology applications, and domestic processing capacity remains an important supply chain consideration. Sunshine is continuing design and planning work for the potential antimony facility as part of its broader evaluation of future critical minerals processing opportunities.
The Sunshine Silver/Copper Refinery is permitted for hydrometallurgical processing of silver and copper concentrates. If refurbished and restarted, the refinery could provide Sunshine with future processing optionality for copper-bearing materials, supporting the Company’s broader strategy to develop a more integrated domestic metals platform.
